In her pivotal role as an advisor to the embassy of Liberia, Dr. Ky spearheaded efforts to enhance trade relations between Liberia and the international business community. Her responsibilities included orchestrating and facilitating high-level discussions with the President of Liberia, key government officials, and embassy representatives to explore and secure trade opportunities. Dr. Ky’s role was instrumental in crafting comprehensive strategic proposals that addressed the economic needs and potential of Liberia. She meticulously organized and managed critical meetings, ensuring that all parties were aligned with the goals of economic advancement and trade expansion.

At Wells Fargo, Dr. Ky took a collaborative role in developing and implementing a national program aimed at enhancing financial literacy, employability, and economic empowerment for underserved communities and youth.

Dr. Ky worked with the Biden-Harris Black Engagement Task Force with a focus on implementing a comprehensive national strategy to boost Black male participation in various spheres of public life. Her role involved orchestrating a series of state-wide think tanks and media campaigns designed to engage a broad audience and elevate the conversation around Black male representation and empowerment. She brought together community leaders, activists, and influencers to discuss and address issues related to Black male empowerment. Her efforts significantly contributed to a national dialogue that highlighted the importance of inclusive engagement and representation.

In collaboration with 100 Black Men of America, Inc., Dr. Ky designed and implemented strategic programs aimed at recruiting and engaging Black male leaders across various chapters. Her initiatives were focused on increasing volunteerism and enhancing the organization’s visibility within underserved communities and among youth. Her efforts were critical in expanding the organization’s reach and effectiveness in serving its community and driving meaningful engagement and supporting the organization’s mission to impact lives positively.

The campaign was designed to provide a unique and engaging experience for participants, generating substantial media coverage and consumer interest. Dr. Ky’s strategic planning and execution resulted in over $150,000 in unpaid media exposure, providing valuable insights that informed future marketing strategies. Her work significantly enhanced BMW USA’s brand visibility and market reach.

In her dual role as Regional Executive (Atlantic) and Overnight Escalation Director at MCCG USA, Dr. Ky led the charge in implementing key operational strategies and managing critical escalation scenarios. She oversaw the coordination and placement of project management professionals, ensuring the effective operation of Humanitarian Emergency Respite and Recovery Centers (HERRC) across more than 15 sites. Dr. Ky’s leadership and strategic oversight ensured that a team of 300 staff members efficiently supported over 20,000 temporary residents. Her role was crucial in streamlining operations and enhancing the effectiveness of emergency response and recovery efforts.

Dr. Ky founded and significantly advanced The Made Man Foundation’s (TMM) mission through her strategic programming and community engagement efforts. She developed and managed initiatives focused on engaging thousands of influential and positive Black male leaders in national and local community-based programming providing mentoring, educational scholarships, think tank engagement, and advocating for equity, social responsibility and public policy reform. Dr. Ky established a groundbreaking alliance of over 5,000 organizations across various sectors, including social, civic, pedagogical, professional, ecumenical, government, professional sports teams, financial and educational institutions. Her work in building this extensive network not only amplified the foundation’s outreach but also contributed to a positive shift in the perception of Black men, with a proven impact on over 250,000 families. Dr. Ky’s strategic vision and collaborative approach have been instrumental in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion on a broad scale, and altered the perception in a positive direction about black men as more than 51% of our group sit as decision-makers in their respective industry. TMM Created a network with leaders at the center of influence for black male engagement strategies, collaboration, and solutions.
